Fast footage

This recording, captured by Racing Dean features footage from a Club100 Sprint Race, in the Heavy Weight division. The sprint format is three heats and a final. However, you might have the chance to race in several finals: The top four in the C Final join the back of the B Final. The top two in the B Final join the back of the A Final. As shown here, Racing Dean finished 4th in the C Final and would progress to the B Final for the first time.

Kart review:

Technically, Club100 karts are rental karts, but these machines use a water cooled 125cc engine made by Rotax. They are the fastest arrive and drive karts in the UK. They’re great—far faster than a twin engine pro kart and about 80% as fast as an Owner Driver Rotax.

Value for money:

A sprint weekend with Club100 costs £219.00 per round inc. + £50.00 one-off registration fee. Far cheaper than buying your own go kart!

Inside track

Lydd Karting features modest facilities. There’s a diner-like cafe with a pretty decent viewing gallery. Toilets are above average. The general locale is easy on the eye and the track remains a firm favourite in my book.

If you’re after a rental karting fix, Lydd karting track go karts are the usual single engine affair, but you’re likely to reach top speeds down their long straights and around their flowing corners.
