A bit about Buckmore Park
Buckmore Park Kart Circuit, a renowned name in British karting, has a rich history and an impressive present. It was born in the early 1960s with a modest 400m circuit used for the Scouts. However, by the 1980s, the track had fallen into disrepair. The 1990s marked a significant turnaround with extensive restoration, leading to the first incarnation of Buckmore Park that is recognisable to today’s racers.
In 2015, John Surtees CBE, a renowned name in the racing world, acquired the circuit, marking a new era of development. Unfortunately, Surtees passed away in 2017, but his legacy continues under the stewardship of his daughter, Leonora Martell-Surtees.
Today, Buckmore Park is a world-class facility. It boasts a 1,000m international circuit and a fleet of Sodi RT10 karts that can reach a fair lick down the hill on the way into Paddock.
