Preferred overtaking spots:

On the inside as you go into the last corner off the back straight. Overtakes are not done in a single corner; they are executed over the course of a lap or many laps. Your job is to get your opponent off their desired line and open them up to attack.

Kart review:

These are a new classification of karts in their first year of competition. You can use any race chassis as long as it is older than 2018, with a Honda GX 200 engine attached. We are supplied with one set of Maxxis Sport tires that must last the entire season (six races), and no wet tires are allowed.

Value for money:

Access Karting has created a brilliant series that prides itself on being low-cost and owner racing. I wouldn't have my own kart if this series were not so affordable.

Inside Track

Lydd Kart Circuit is located on the south coast of England. It's a well-maintained facility with a great-looking track, nice rideable curbs, and a smooth surface. The track has a great café located upstairs with a large balcony offering excellent full-track viewing. It's a lovely place to race and visit, and I'd go back in a heartbeat.
