Hot footage from the first KTG awards.

I am delighted to welcome you to the 2023 karting track guides awards. Now this is a bit of fun, but I just wanted to recognise the inaugural drivers who have gone to the effort of getting videos live on kartingtrackguides.com.

These awards are data driven. I go into Google Analytics and I look at which guide and circuits have got the most views.

Most view driver

In order to become the most viewed driver you need to have lots of different track guides. And this driver has exactly that. He's got track guides at the Daytona, Buckmore Park, he’s got Club100, DMX and GX-UK. He is Tom Angier of Mango Motorsport, narrowly beating out Brad Philpot for the top spot.

Fastest track guide

This driver could have actually won it on several different tracks. He's got a very fast Teamsport Docklands rental track guide. He's got a very fast GX-UK around Hooton Park, but the one that he is going to win it for is a Rotax Max around Wilton Mill.

By day, this driver is a tyre tester, so he spends a lot of time in the car. But on the weekends he is Brad Philpot, and he is the winner of the fastest track guide Whilton Mill. It's a 44 second lap, check it out.

Best commentary

Commentary is something that we really value at Karting Track Guides - it really helps to bring a video to life. And this award actually has a sponsor, which is the Missed Apex F1 Podcast if you haven't listened to the podcast, I recommend it. It's a nice mixture of banter, but also technical expertise and really good guests. They do it in a panel format. They are now doing corporate karting experiences, they will organise the whole thing for you heats and finals and commentary. So this award is actually shared between two drivers:

Rich Tea Racing and Andy Hicks - congratulations.

Best graphics in a Karting Track Guide video

This award is for best use of graphics. Now again, I like graphics in a video. It really helps other drivers understand where you're pointing the kart and what landmarks to look out for.

The runner up is Comrod Motorsport.

In first place, we have Brad Philpot again, with his Hooton Park Track Guide.

Most view circuit

Buckmore Park wins this award with Rental and Club100 guides, wet and dry.

Between Buckmore and the KTG community, we have 6 guides for Buckmore Park.

Most viewed track guide

This last one actually goes to myself. Recorded at Brighton Karting in a rental kart. It was at the Missed Apex F1 karting event so if you have a look at the Missed Apex page, you will see some footage from Brighton Karting gives you an idea for how good those events were, how much fun they were.

If you want to have a popular track guide, it really helps to write a good bit of information on the page. So you can see here that I've been generous with the description that helps Google recognise what your page is about and will help it go to the top of the search rankings.
