Driver notes
Overtaking at Bayford Meadows:
The best overtaking opportunities are into Turn 1 and Turn 2/3. If you make the pass at Turn 1 it can be quite easy for your rival to pull off the switchback move and get you back. Being patient through Turn 1 and sticking close to your rival to make the move into Turn 2 will make it easier to defend your position for the rest of the lap.
Pro tips:
A very technical circuit that rewards patience to get the lap time. Easy to overdrive and make mistakes. Keeping a nice flowing rhythm will help over being too aggressive on the controls.
Owner/driver kart spec:
2016 Tony Kart
Senior Rotax Max owner kart
125cc
Weight classes - 162kg / 177kg
Maxxis sport tyres

Onsite facilities:
A well run, relaxed venue with friendly staff. Not a great deal around locally as it is situated on an industrial park but great viewing as access is possible all around the track on raised banks. Not far from the local Sittingbourne train station and Mcd's is a short drive for the raceday morning McMuffin. On site cafe is reasonably priced and decent food, toilets are clean and they work.
Value for money:
Owner driver is great value for money once you have originally spent out on the equipment needed. If moving into owner driver from hires I would advise starting off within a team where you can rent a package for the weekend to keep costs down to start with.
