Club100: How to prepare your kart
Here's the deal! You're about to step into a Club100 kart for the first time and let it rip. But, did you know there are 7 pro tips that will make your life easier?
How to set up your Club100 kart
Sadly we’re not talking about toe in, toe out, or tyre pressures. Instead, we’re focusing on race-wear.
Number 1: Pedal position
You can adjust the position of the pedals to suit your legs. Do this by pressing the panel at the bottom of the pedal.
Number 2. Number plate
At the beginning of the season, you'll be given a number. At the start of every race, you'll need to clip it on. A pro tip is to have the "eyes of the clip" facing innermost, which makes them easier to remove at the end of your race. You'll likely find the clips in the kart seat from the race that proceeded yours.
Number 3. Transponder
You'll have been given a transponder to record track times. This goes on the inside of the side pod.
Number 4. Lead weights
To ensure you meet the minimum driver weight for your category, add circular lead weights to the chassis and secure them with the larger clips. Club100 mandates lead from a certain provider - so check their website before you buy.
Number 5. Camera
For safety reasons, Club100 only allows you to attach a camera to the front panel. There's a string for additional safety. Once it's attached, you can get in your kart.
Number 6. Rib protector
These aren't mandatory, but you can use them to ensure that you have a snug fit in the kart. All the karts seats are XL size, so if you're smaller, you'll need padding.
Number 7. Ignition
After you hear the start whistle, fire up your Rotax kart with the starter button near the steering wheel. Turn it off with the same button.
That's it! Race fast and well.
